Photo Booth Backdrop Trends of 2020

A photo booth is a must have for your special event. Photo booths come in all shapes and sizes (we have photo booths, photo campers and social booths), and are tons of fun and offer unforgettable memories and loads of laughs to you and your guests. Best part is you have a tangible keepsake to take home with you or an instantly downloadable image to share on social media!

We stared the year off with stunning trends for 2020 and photo booth backdrops are no exception and are taking center stage! Your photo booth, photo camper or social booth should reflect YOU, your vibe, your style and what better way to do that by choosing your perfect photo booth backdrop. Order or even DIY a backdrop to continue your event theme, glam it up with sequins…the possibilities are endless, so get inspired!

Greenery Backdrops

It is no surprise that greenery is on the top of the backdrop trend for 2020. Clients are loving the earthy vibes and timeless beauty of greenery walls. We are seeing the trend continue throughout the ceremony, receptions and décor all about. Greenery backdrops range in the form of Boxwood-hedges, to gorgeous garland or go a little tropical and add palms to your backdrop.

Floral Backdrops and Walls

Just like greenery walls, florals walls add natural elements to your photo booth or photo camper backdrop give a romantic and summery feel. These looks can be created with fresh florals or with a printed backdrop. Either way you cannot go wrong with this romantic trend.

Simplistic and Classic

You cannot go wrong with a classic and timeless backdrop. Solid color curtain or sequin backdrops will help you accomplish a simplistic vibe without sacrificing any glamour. Choose a backdrop to compliment your wedding or event colors for a personalized look and experience for your guests.

Use the features of your venue

Use what you have. You chose your event location for a reason maybe it is because they offer beautiful crisp shiplap walls or maybe it was the exposed brick or industrial concrete vibe. Can you use the venue elements as a backdrop? Yes, of course and we encourage you to do so! Some of the best backdrops are features onsite.

Macramé is a gorgeous element for any boho, rustic, or earthy event and makes our hearts swoon. Macramé can be found on Etsy, Amazon, in stores such as Target or Pottery Barn. You can find them hand tied, dip-dyed…the possibilities are endless and the results are always dreamy. Having a macramé backdrop at your event has a way of blending in and standing out all at the same time. Whether you are wanting a more minimalist vibe or dramatic look, you cannot go wrong with a macramé statement piece as your backdrop.

Whimsy and Fun

Balloons are not just for your neighbors kids birthday party anymore, us adults are going crazy for all things balloons, tassles and ribbon. Wedding and event trends are showing us how to add balloons and all things whimsy to an adult event with so much style and class. It’s basically the cool kid thing to do! And, people are getting really creative the design elements.

Custom Neons

Neon signs are taking the photo booth backdrop by storm. We are seeing neons trending all over the event industry both indoor and outdoor, daytime or nighttime. Spruce up your backdrop with a personalized neon or a fun little quote.

Just head on over to Pinterest and type in unique photo booth backdrops and you will find some of the most interesting, gorgeous, crafty, DIY-able, backdrops in all the land. But just remember, when planning your wedding or special event, make sure to factor in how your backdrop is going to vibe with your style. Use your vision, just do you, and create your favorite look and watch your guests enjoy themselves in front of the camera!

GingerSnap Photo Camper at The Butler’s Courtyard Wedding

Hey Texas, FALL has arrived!

Our lovely couple, who truly are the sweetest, most loving, kind hearted duo, were blessed with the first official cold front of fall.  Texas temps went from low 90’s to temps in mid 50’s overnight and a beautiful crisp air filled the evening sky.  Guests enjoyed an outdoor reception with clear skies, stunning design elements and of course, Brenden and Paula.

The Bride & Groom

We first met Brenden and Paula at Butler’s Courtyard’s summer open house event in League City, TX.  Brenden and Paula fell in love with our photo camper on site.  A favorite memory of the day was them running around the venue with Brenden’s mom on FaceTime.  You could feel the excitement and joy as Brenden and Paula decided upon GingerSnap Photo Camper.  From the moment they saw Sugar, they recognized it was a must…they just had to get mom on board.  Of course mom approved!
Butler’s Courtyard is an incredible venue located in the heart of League City.  Photo Campers are set-up under a covered reception area just off the ceremony site and in perfect proximity to the dance floor and reception tables.  Guests enjoy taking photos and creating memories within our photo campers as they mix and mingle with family and friends.

Houston Wedding Vendors

Brenden and Paula secured some of our favorite wedding vendors for their celebration, including Event Smith Productions (formerly J&D Productions), MAD Productions, Cakes by Jula and of course the Butler’s Courtyard staff.  Amber, co-owner of Butler’s courtyard, was onsite and she is a blast.

Fall Weddings in Texas

Brenden and Paula’s event captured a true fall wedding, full of beautiful florals highlighted with deep reds, dusty mauve and lush greenery.  Sticking with their style and feel of the wedding the couple opted for our rose gold backdrop and burgundy personalized photo strips.  Guests relished photos with friends and family.  As our attendant secured photos within our gorgeous, linen bound guest book, guests were encouraged to write well wishes for the bride and groom as they get to take home the guest book and immediately enjoy images from their perfect night.  Brenden and Paula sent their guests off with perfectly roasted hazelnut surrounded with smooth chocolate filling and a crisp wafer and wrapped in a gold foil, Ferrero Rocher, a scrumption ending to a perfect night.
These two have an amazing future ahead, filled with love and adventure!  Texas, stay chill!

Wedding at The Grand Texana Photo Camper by GingerSnap

The Grand Texana – Best of Houston’s Barn Wedding Venues

A cool breeze brushed over the farm lands of the stunning Grand Texana providing Samantha and Jason with an incredible evening to begin their lives together as Mr. and Mrs.

Venue in Hempsted, Texas!

The Grand Texana is located in Hempstead, TX just off HWY 290.  With gorgeous farm land, lush greenery and the kind of sunset’s photographers dream of this charming venue offers a romantic setting for a rustic barn wedding.  The owners and staff make you feel like one of the family and Ann has such a keen eye for detail, one look at the chapel and the gorgeous brick inlayed floors of the reception hall you will agree.  Did you know that The Grand Texana was once a fully operational dairy farm?  So much history in the gem.

Photo Camper

GingerSnap Photo Camper fits right in with the feel and vibe of The Grand Texana and we may do a bit of a happy dance each time we are booked at the venue.  We set-up the photo camper in the corner of the reception green space, just steps away from the reception hall, dance floor, bar and backyard games such as Corn Hole, and Four in a Row.

Brandy was onsite to entertain guests during the crisp evening hours.  Brandy is our newest photo camper, the third photo camper for GingerSnap Photo Camper.  She is designed and styled just like her sisters, Ginger and Sugar and is always ready to party…and that she did, and that she did!  Guests of all ages came and went giggling and laughing.  Brandy was a must-have for Coni, Samantha’s mother, so much so that she just reserved it herself!  The guests, mother of the bride, Coni, as well as the bride and groom were smitten with Brandy and were able to create memories to last a lifetime.

Fall Weddings & Photo Campers

We always have a blast working events, people are so friendly and full of life coming in and out of the photo camper. One of my favorite things to do is to walk around the venue and see all the details fall into place and the personal touches of each and every couple. Samantha and Jason styled their event with beautiful, simplistic fall elements.

The fall elements, the crisp chill in the air, the stunning bride and lovable groom along with the backdrop of The Grand Texana make this wedding one for the books.  Friends, if you are ever in the area, please check out The Grand Texana and give Ann a huge hug for us, she is seriously the sweetest.
